Hello all!

*NekoFlameAlchemist here - making my long-overdue debut posting on here as ~uk-cosplay's reporter admin - and what better way to start off than with the launch of a brand new book on cosplaying.
Made by Rob Dunlop and Peter Lumby of ~CosplayFever, this is a neat little book full of the wonderful costumes made by cosplayers found within the United Kingdom.

The launch itself was held at Hi Sushi, Camden Town - and the party started just before 2pm today - complete with a free selection of food from the popular Japanese food chain. (too bad I only found out after it was all gone!)
Within Hi Sushi, people were free to buy copies of the book, signed in person by both Rob and Pete. High quality, framed prints of some of the cosplayers featured in the book were also on display within the restaurant. To add to the visuals, there were also banners and two constantly changing projection screens of Rob and Pete's works.

Even with the release of the book, the creators were still keeping themselves busy. When not selling/signing their creations, the guys were off being busy with snapping up people for the second volume of their book.
They were also snapped up, along with many of the cosplayers, for a group shot for the Ham and High local newspaper! Exciting stuff!

Sadly, I had to leave early as I have a 16hr shift at work to attend to tomorrow - however, all in all, it was a fun time. It was great to see all the wonderful cosplayers as well as a few familiar faces.
I'll have to say a special thanks to those whoe accompanied me to the event (you know who you all are!) and also to Rob and Pete for a great time and a well-hosted book launch!

For those of you that want to get hold of the Cosplay Fever book, it will be available at London MCM Expo this weekend, held at the London ExCeL.

Speaking of events, I wish those of you who are going to Expo this weekend a fun-filled time! Sadly, I'll be attending Fuyucon in Northampton, so expect a report from me about that coming soon!
